How therapy supports are funded
Therapy supports such as occupational therapy, physiotherapy and speech pathology are generally funded from the Capacity Building budget, under Improved Daily Living, and are a stated support in the participant’s plan. They are a different funding category from Core Supports. Therapy must relate to the participant’s disability and funded goals, and is delivered by appropriately qualified allied health professionals.
Core and Therapeutic Supports can work together
Where a participant has appropriate funding for both, Motherly Healthcare can coordinate Core Supports and therapeutic supports around the participant’s goals, while keeping each support aligned with the relevant NDIS funding category and service agreement.
With participant consent, our support workers and allied health professionals can work toward consistent participant goals while maintaining clear professional responsibilities, service agreements and NDIS funding boundaries.
